The first floor and the Noble Wing
The Noble Wing of the castle consists of three adjacent rooms.
Today we see them spaciously sized as they originally were, after the demolition of the curtain walls added after the death of Sofia Cacherano di Bricherasio, the last member of the family that owned the castle for more than two centuries. This wing appears to have housed her private apartments.
The original staircase, which was demolished in the latter half of the 1900s, stopped at this floor. The top floor of the castle was instead reached directly from the farm buildings in the Rural Courtyard. Today the top floor houses the offices of the Cosso Foundation and the Archival Collection of Miradolo Castle.
