- Mercatelli, 1882, Catalogo delle Camelie: “Surprising variety for the eccentricity of not having a flower on the same plant that has the same shape and offers the same point of color; sometimes they are white lined with carmine red, or pinkish white, spotted and streaked with pink, sometimes completely light pink or darker in the center. Outer petals mostly inverted, those in the center erect.”
