1. Mostra fotografia Oliviero Toscani

E ancora Joe Cocker, Elvis Presley, Alice Cooper, Man Ray, Mick Jagger, Federico Fellini, Peter Sellers.

This section is dedicated to portraits. It includes the images of personalities that have been significant figures, each in their own field, for the cultural landscape of the 1960s and 1970s (and even beyond). From a still very young and unknown Patty Smith who had just arrived in New York, to an impudent Lou Reed, who would later use this very image for his 1975 album cover. From the great Carmelo Bene, who replied with a simple and annoyed “What’s wrong?” to the young Toscani who had reacted with surprise to his eccentric clothes, down to Muhammad Ali, who was photographed during his training a few days before the historical match against George Foreman, about to take place in Kinshasa – and possibly the most important match in the history of boxing. And then Joe Cocker, Elvis Presley, Alice Cooper, Man Ray, Mick Jagger, Federico Fellini, Peter Sellers.
